Glassware sets: goblets, martini glasses, champagne flutes - we just can't get enough
We find glassware to be such an interesting subject. And we think an important step torwards better glassware sets, is for manufacturers to start providing “more interesting” glassware then they currently do. So we headed off to get our own glassware sets made to perfection.
At Brissi, we've put an emphasis on decorative glassware. We like all of our ranges to show some individuality, both in shapes and detail. In fact, glassware is one of our bestsellers as our customers really do want to move on from the mass produced, plain clear glasses on offer elsewhere.
So let’s deal with glassware for the table first, and focus on wine glasses and champagne flutes. We like lovely
big goblets for both red and white wine glasses. And we don’t think that you always need to have both sizes for the dinner table. The beauty with larger goblets is that they can be used for serving creamy puddings – a bit retro perhaps, but very fun.
A nice water glass is also needed for the dinner table. We like to match the water glass with the glassware and you can use a small goblet or a tumbler to do this, if you prefer.
We all love a glass of fizz, don't we? In fact, the UK is the biggest consumer of champagne outside of France. Some people like a larger
champagne flute (we fall in to that camp!) though if you’ve got a lot of guests then having large champagne flutes can mean an expensive night. With this in mind, purchasing champagne flutes in two sizes may be a good option.
Then there is the excitement of the cocktail moment. Do you really need a full range of cocktail glassware - from
martini glasses to the tall glass of a pina colada? You can guess our answer. We love martini glasses and don’t feel the need for anything else other than a good tumbler for a cocktail on the rocks.
In addition, it’s great to be able to buy glasses individually and not just in glassware sets so you can replace those post party injuries!
